About me

Via Castello is a whimsical singer-songwriter inviting listeners to explore the world alongside them. Raised between a rural town in British Columbia, Canada, and a charming Italian village, they absorbed diverse cultures and musical influences that now shape their unique sound. Now based in Vancouver, BC, they’re taking on the city and joining the scene.

Their debut album, Peak Inside, offers a rich blend of genres: from the jazzy opening of  "Edge" to the cheeky blues of "Bad Bones Billy", to the powerful ballad of “Expectation”. Drawing inspiration from artists like Ingrid Michaelson, Hozier, and Norah Jones, Via's music reflects both introspection and playfulness.

Fragile the EP has upbeat rock and a little funk to set the mood; the intention behind it was to simply have fun! The title track, “Fragile”, notes their tumultuous start  in this career, and a rockin’ tune to get everyone on their feet is found in “You’re The Man!”

Both projects were a labor of love, nurtured by a supportive family, talented friends, and an incredible team of professionals. They’re looking forward to releasing more music with their band, Luis DeJesus and Taylor Harrison on guitar, Brett Selinger on bass, and Jay Schreiber on drums. With more music on the way, Via plans to release new material in 2026, so stay tuned for what’s next!
